Elkins Elementary School is nestled at the foothills of the Yolla Bolly Mountains.  We are a single school district in rural Northern California, located in Tehama County approximately 20 miles west of Interstate 5.

Elkins was founded in 1872 and has seen many changes since that time.  Presently we have fifteen students in grades K-8.  With the small school, "family" setting, we are able to offer customized instruction to our students to best meet their individual needs.

LCAP / LCFF Information

Governor Jerry Brown's new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) is intended to equitably allocate dollars from the state capital to counties and districts. The LCFF moves toward a more equitable, rational and efficient approach to allocating resources.

We invite you to provide your input in developing our Local Accountability Plan (LCAP).  A county/district overview of the LCFF/LCAP process will be held on February 26, 2014 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m at the Tehama County Department of Education.  Below is a link (Community Input Link) to an online survey where we welcome your suggestions and comments.
